Dear colleagues – Imcas Paris 2024 is “across the street”. This year we will present an eyelid surgery performed at the Quiron/Rotger Clinic in Palma de Mallorca where we will analyze the possibility of using upper lateral access to treat the lower eyelid, demonstrating the usefulness of canthal support and its biomechanics. El pasado miércoles nuestra incombustible @aracelisalas , presentó junta a nuestra antigua Presidenta del Gobierno Balear, EXCMA Sra. Francina Armengol @f_armengol , actual Presidenta del Congreso de los Diputados, los Premios Nacional de Dislexia en España. Entre los premiados un emocionado @borisizaguirre . Tener dislexia es tener un cerebro neurodivergente, diferente a los demás, que es capaz de procesar la información de forma diferente. De hecho, las personas con dislexia suelen tener una inteligencia superior a la media, pero eso no exime de una educación personalizada, como mencionaba Ken Robinson @sirkenrobinson deficitaria actualmente en nuestros centros escolares. La @dislexia no se cura, a diferencia de lo que opinan muchos psicólogos como proceso madurativo. Uno se adapta a la Dislexia. ganándole la batalla a la sociedad: existen poetas brillantes que tienen dislexia, que les cuesta escribir, pero que tienen un don maravilloso para las palabras, músicos brillantes que no saben leer partituras. La inteligencia humana es mucho más rica : es compleja y tiene unos matices que no pueden captarse con una simple prueba. It highlights how logical and efficient anatomical zones can be connected to accomplish all needed with less incision, danger and superior control. We emphasized the use of Zone I upper lid to allow access to zone 4 and more importantly Zone 2. In July 2008, my brother Jacobo @3dtechomegazeta and I went to Poland to interview the “daughters of Irene Sendler”: Irene just died in May 2008…we didn’t arrive in time, we found “her daughters” and We interviewed them giving faith and testimony to the great work they carried out during the Second World War, risking their own lives, organizing rescues from the Warsaw ghetto of some 2,500 Jewish children practically condemned to be victims of the Holocaust.
In her name, we presented Elzibieta Ficowska with the Humanity Award that our foundation, Cirujanos Plastikos Mundi awarded each year. She deserved the Nobel Prize, but it was awarded to Al Gore…

From the Institute, as specialists, above all in eyelid surgery, we apply the same principles for the non-surgical treatment of these, with the technique called “The Blending Technique for the Tear Trough”, by the way ,video most viewed at the imcas academy 2022, to avoid bruising, sausage effect etc… always using the cannula of course, which will be published soon and as a scientific paper. As described by my invaluable and tireless at his post @drjaimebarcelo ,the anatomical knowledge that reconstructive surgery gives is a pillar for aesthetic medicine. On this occasion we reconstructed a nose due to sequelae of trauma using the technique that we published in 2019 with @draguisantes @glenn.jelks @drorentepper and others, with rib graft and composite of ear The collaboration of Dr. Manolo Tomas was essential for the assessment and internal fixation.

During last Friday we held the 102 Edition of the Academy. Special interest in the anatomy and possible treatments of the temporal zone and the “dreaded” Tear Trough area , where they learned “The Blending Technique for the Tear Trough” developed by Dr. Beut and Coll. Special mention for #galderma, #softfil #3dtechomegazeta and of course to all the colleagues who came from different parts of Spain. Nose surgery or rhinoseptoplasty is among the most difficult facial surgeries: it involves bones, cartilage, vascularization, skin…. Even having experience in more than 1500 traumatic noses, secondary to cleft lip and aesthetics, the results do not always meet the expectations of the patients and especially of the surgeon since the healing is always random. As you can see on last case done in november with 3 correction attempts where no septum was available and we had to use rib graft.
It has been a pleasure working with both Patricia and Antonio without neglecting the anesthesia team of Dr Nogueroles in Valencia and the inexhaustible Angel Iglesias instrumentalist of the Porcuna team La Salita

Second Latam week achieved. Participation in the national congress of plastic surgery in Argentina with two presentations and two workshops, one on canthoplasty and the second on the treatment of Tear Through.

First Latam part achieved. In collaboration with UNAM Autonomous University of Mexico we carried out the first 2 days workshop with cadaver dissection for residents in plastic surgery using the ACME philosophy. As colophon, 2 more days treatments for the Tear Trough and lip at the impressive facilities of the Overnia group. Special thanks to Dr Diego Pineda for the excellent preparation of the pieces and the directors of Unam , Dr Rogelio Martinez Wagner for his kindness assistance ,as well as to Emmanuel Paul Denis President of the Overnia Group and his entire team

Last weekend, I had the honor of sharing the experience of our 83 editions of ACME with the prestigious University of Alcala de Henares, Madrid, thanks to the invitation from Prof. Paloma Tejero and the entire team of anatomists from the University under the direction of Prof. Ana Slocker and Dean María Lourdes Lledó García,

Last Saturday, July 16, during the 83 rd edition, we held a special event to demonstrate the “hot spots” in aesthetic medicine and plastic surgery.

On friday july 15th, during the 82rd edition of ACME, we had the pleasure of clarifying anatomical concepts with the following doctors: Alba Ruiz, Raquel García, Pilar Gómez, Montse Ribes, Nuria Mira, Beatriz Martinez, Sara Arranz, Rosangela Obregon, Consolación Mantilla and David Sampayo. The “Blind Cannula Technique” was as always the essential tool to “feel the facial spaces”. We thank Fillmed Spain for their collaboration and especially Olivia Girón @olivia.fillmed and of course their great team.
On saturday 16 th july we will have a special event with priceless colaboration of Dr Juan Sopena @juansopenadr . We ll let you know.
81th edition of ACME
We had the pleasure of inviting the team of Dr. Rosello, father and son, with whom we are conducting a clinical study on the use of Aquamid on the glans, both to increase it and to treat premature ejaculation.Dr Rosello. Jr gave a master class on anatomy and technique.
DrsDr. Osama Ghatas Dr. Mohamad Hamdan, Dr. Tawfil Albosta from Jordan came to see the technique helped by ultrasound specialist Dr Eugenio Cerezo.
Together with Dr Rosello we developed more than 20 years ago the first protocol to increase the penis with fat, which is still a standard today. Dr Rosello has been a pioneer in Spain of Andrology as a medical specialty as well as a restless researcher (the Rosselló Cavernotome (surgical instrument for penile prosthesis implantation…) is currently in the TOP Spanish Ranking Surgeons of penile prostheses. It is an honor to have Dr. Rosello´s team as faculty in our Academy

We continue to work on the sensitivity of anatomical planes. From this edition we give the participants a complete dossier so that they can review the anatomy and the techniques carried out during the course.
